Idee Verticali Edizioni di Andrea Gallo

Idee Verticali Edizioni born at the end of the 90’s with Andrea Gallo, top climber of that age and then mountain photographer (climbing, skiing, ice climbing) and author of climbing guides.
The motivation was to become editor by himself, completely contolling all the process; from the beginning other uthors, always climbers, joned Idee Verticali that kept a very simple structure.

We dedicated to climbing guides at first and then we also started Mountain Bike and backcountry ski guides. Some of this book, as the case of Polvere Rosa, Finale 007 or Blu Bike, became cult guides for bikers, skiers and climbers.

But we went further with iVert, our more than decennial project of sponsorig climbing sites. This means that we think correct to help local climbers with material for equip routes in the crags we describe on our guides.

In 2009 we started a new collection: the Local guides dedicatet to smaller places that surely deserve  a visit.

Tracce Verticali will be our next collection that we will start at the end of 2010. It will be a coffe table size collection of books. The first will be Io Scalo, a photographic reportage of the last ten years of top climbing in Italy.
Otherbooks will follow in these collection, the style will be similar of the 100 best climbs of…, famous in the 70’s. the best climbers of today will show us their best routes and walls.
